The Fairchild House. In this picture, you can see the original front door that no longer exists.
This picture was taken after the front door was moved and the front windows were shortened–probably to make room for more wall-mounted bookshelves.
In this photo shot circa 1915, before the annex was added to the building, you can see a window to the left of the fireplace, where the museum is today. Some of the furniture here is still in use in the library today!
The first north side addition. This part of the building now has windows on the street side. For a while, our mystery books, movies, and audiobooks were housed there.
If you look closely at the interior shot from 1985 you might see some portraits and paintings that are still up in the library today.
Along with another addition, the front door was moved to the new part of the building, and windows were added.
