Breastfeeding Connections Returns!

Have you signed up for the Summer Reading Program yet? There’s still time to register for prizes, and get a free new book (to keep!) and a free ice cream cone (also to keep!) before August 21. Keep an eye on our calendar and social media pages for upcoming events that you won’t see any other time of year here at the library! Thanks so much, again, to the Friends of the Library for the books and to Maxwell’s Chocolates and Ice Cream for the ice cream!

Speaking of programming, Madison County Breastfeeding Connections is returning every 2nd and 4th Friday right here in the library from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Madison County Department of Health in cooperation with the Community Action Partnership. It offers a place where new and expecting parents can get professional breastfeeding support, check baby’s weight, talk with other moms, and connect to community resources. As with all our events, (following CDC guidance) patrons over the age of two years are required to wear a mask in our facility.

The only other thing I’d like to mention at this point is that we’re STILL looking for our newest employee. If you think you have what it takes to work at the Hamilton Public Library, please visit our homepage for more information.

Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day!
