New Program and Events Coordinator at the Hamilton Public Library

Just in time to begin the Summer Reading Program, I would like to welcome our new Program and Events Coordinator here at the Hamilton Public Library, Keeley Gorsky!

Keeley joins our team with years of experience working with children in a school setting, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Educational Technology. Currently she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and is a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School.

In addition to having a passion for education, Keeley is an avid reader of historical fiction and fantasy, a proud owner of two black labs and a less-proud owner of a ridiculously-behaved feline. She also has two younger sisters and loves to travel. Be sure to stop in and welcome Keeley at an event, and since it’s summertime, there’s plenty of opportunities to do just that!

In other news, I also want to take this opportunity to send my condolences to the family and friends of community member Joanne Geyer. Ms. Geyer was an active patron and member of the Fortnightly Club. Through her efforts the library was able to establish the Eleanor Ross Memorial Fund in 2015, which continues to fund landscaping projects at our library to this day. Her contributions to the library and Hamilton community will be felt for years to come.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week!
