In the fall of 2019, we attempted a really-difficult-to-pull-off ongoing program here at the library, an after school program for local students. Two days a week, students came in (after school, of course), and had snacks, homework help, quiet reading time, educational games time, and crafts and activities. This was offered for free to anyone that wanted to participate, until registration filled up. And it did! And it went extremely well until the events of spring 2020…
Cut to now, the fall of 2021, and after a successful Summer Reading Program and a better understanding of restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic, we are starting the After School Program back up!
This program is free and open to kids ages 5 and up, and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Kids can register for either Tuesdays or Thursdays, or both! While they’re here, they’ll enjoy all the activities mentioned above. Parents, you can pick up your kids earlier than 4:30, and they don’t have to get here exactly at 3:00 p.m. Given the length and type of the program, there’s bound to be some variations to our schedule.
To register, just contact us! Or, if you’re internet-savvy, check out our website for more information. You can find it on our website under ‘Kids/Teens’ or on the slideshow right on our homepage!
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day!
